Singaraja, the main city in the north of the island, retains some Dutch buildings, and nearby you will find the Gitgit Waterfalls and Lovina Beach. In Mengwi, you will find the royal temple of Taman Ayun. In Bedugul, the Ulun Danu Beratan temple is located on a promontory surrounded by lake water. The Tanah Lot temple offers beautiful sunsets by the sea.
